An evolving alignment

The Kern Gateway Trail is a work in process to determine the best alignment to solve for costs and benefits, environmental concerns, and parking limitations. 

Currently it is proposed as a cohesive trail system that can be built out in 6 different phases, starting with the most easily built and maintained section in the middle of the proposed trail and gradually expanding in both directions.
